Photoshoot; Creative Direction, Wardrobe Styling & Editing
For my final photoshoot & editorial at FIDM I wanted to do something different. True Story; my initial idea was to do an entire shoot & behind the scenes video of the shoot entirely from iPhones, but my professor said it was a horrible idea (oh, if only she knew).
So, rather than taking the futuristic(back then) approach I decided to take it way back. It was a challenge because finding a fashion style photographer that was willing to only shoot on film - was hard to find(again, back then). Unfortunately, we ran into many scheduling issues and by the time we were ready to shoot it was dark outside. I was quick on my feet, my model and photographer were both ride or die down for the shoot and we took every shot NOT KNOWING if any of them would develop with such low light.
What we created, was magic. When you look at this production current day it seems like I used a regular app filter on the images because this is the look we attain for, now! I am so proud of this shoot, because it was ahead of it's time, yet it is timeless.
You cannot ask for much more than that in this industry.
